The School Committee has voted to announce to High School students at the opening of school in the Fall that on days when weather is inclement and school is in session, studies will go on as usual and those who are absent will lose out on that day's work.
The Committee also voted to instruct Superintendent Lincoln D. Lynch to proceed with the study of costs of building a hockey rink at the High School.
It was decided to obtain a new school children in Norwood for the next three years. The contract with the Norwood Motor Tours has terminated.
The Committee agreed to re-elect teachers who have not acquired tenure of office under the Massachusetts law.
The purchase of sound film for the High School and Junior High School, as well as some ediphone equipment, and filing equipment for the Henry O. Peabody School for Girls, was decided.
The date for school to open for the Fall term was set as September 4.
