I've decided to teach a 10-week course in astrology, beginning October 1. The class will meet on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm. The price? $400 — although my Patreon subscribers and others are getting various discounts off of that, up to $100 in some cases.
You can sign up here.

The classes will follow the following syllabus, and use Zoom for class meetings.
Astrology 101
An introduction to the art of judgement from the stars
Each class is 1 hour long.
For this course, beginners may start with two books — but they are not required reading.
- On the Heavenly Spheres, by Helena Avelar and Luis Ribiero (Amazon)
- Astrology for Witches and Pagans by Ivo Dominguez, Jr. (Amazon)
You can buy both of these books used, and it won't matter to me. You can also NOT buy them. They simply provide two different introductory guides to enter the very deep astrology ocean from opposite coastlines.
They may also find these two books helpful for this course, and for other courses I design:
- Christopher Warnock's The Mansions of the Moon, 2nd edition (Amazon)
- The Horary Textbook, revised edition, by John Frawley. (Amazon)
If you plan on pursuing devotional astrology, you can be be really nice and purchase the PDF of my astrological poetry and have it spiral-bound for your own use ... and I'll provide you with resources do do this other ways than with my poetry, too... and it's also not required.
- A Full Volume of Splendor and Starlight, poetry by Andrew B. Watt (PDF on Etsy)
You will also need a way to generate charts.
I teach using a computer program called iPhemeris, available for MacOS, and the iOS operating system for Apple devices like the iPad and iPhone. It is available through the Apple App Store. I do not get a commission or payment if you buy Clifford Ribaudo's software; I'd appreciate it if you would ask him to include Tropical Lunar Mansions in future versions, though, if this is what you get! I do not believe iPhemeris is currently available for Android or Windows devices. There are ways to generate charts for free using the websites Astro.com and astro-seek.com.
I will not be teaching how to calculate charts by hand in this class.
At the end of this class, you will know the following:
- How to look at a chart
- The key tools for understanding a chart
- Planets
- Signs
- Houses
- Aspects
- How to start interpreting "charts of the now" through Horary Astrology.
You will not be able to interpret natal charts or find elections/talismanic opportunities, which will be other courses that I'll offer in due time. There just isn't enough time in ten hours to provide adequate guidance on a natal chart when there are so many preliminaries to learn.I'll provide more information as we get closer to the official start date.
