I am here sipping my coffee on the first few moments of the long weekend. It's still dark out. I'm listening to Mozart, hearing the coffee pot click and sputter, feeling the table fan's breeze rushing over me. I'm calm and happy.
I wake up by surfing the web, first, my friend's Facebook pages. I tune into one friend's page and I came across this:
I carefully curate my social media, purposely to avoid content which would disturb me. I highly doubted my friend would have content that is graphic. She never has before. So I click yes.
Oho! I see FB as a second layer of warnings now. You have to go thru TWO screens to get tot he content they deem 'graphic or violent'.
Well color me curious. What is this content that is so disturbing that I'm warned twice about it?
The US flag, the eagle our national symbol, and a prayer to God. Give me a break!
They added another layer to the watch out, graphic warning. You have to go thru TWO screens now.
FB: "This photo is graphic, violent, and unsuitable for any age. We deem it irrelevant and unnecessary. However in the interest of what WE call "free speech" we may or may not let you see it. Are you sure you want to see it?"
Me: Yes
FB: screen 2- It's REALLY Bad! Are you SURE?! You may damaged beyond repair if you even peek at it.
Me: Yes.
Me: Ahhhhhh, I'm dying! (LAUGHING).
It's interesting that the liberal bias is so evident. Someone HAD to have spent time and energy writing an algorithm that flagged, er, flags and words like God and Amen. Now THAT's the disturbing part. They are so blind they don't know they cannot see.
