The first one was in France where I snapped a photo of a beautiful yellow iris (among many other flowers LOL!) I thought the flower would be pretty to paint in a line-and-wash style. I have a timelapse below but I am also teaching this in real-time for free on July 19th for Michaels. If you live in the USA or Canada you can sign up for the live online class on Michaels's website. There will be a replay a couple of days after the event that anyone can see on the Michaels YouTube channel. If you have taken them in the past and enjoyed them I would love it if you left a review on Michaels's website, it helps them and Derwent, decide what programming to offer in the future. I have a pattern you can download here for the artwork. Please have the outline lightly drawn or transferred onto your watercolor paper before the class. We will begin with the inking and then do our watercolor wash. You can prepare by watching the timelapse below, or even try it on your own because it is a pretty straightforward technique. ! ![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_tY9lu_FQCkzuA7xRgMMpbh6gfcFp2B8rTbTlC7qsxEU6hxYelAv1PIjmHY-9uJGLNcwZF3J3ZbS950bLC_avYeKZD2D9Aj66BnTe0jRBo=s0-d) Supplies (affiliate links used) Line & Wash is such a nice technique to try. It's simple, you can ink one day and add paint the next. It's a great project for when you are trying to fit a little art in every day. I hope you make some time for art today and til next time happy crafting! | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
