This little coffee shop has the lightest and best pastries ever! There are not enough superlatives to describe their goodness. The croissants were just like I had last week in France! I had read about their sfogliatella and came with my mouth watering only to find that they were only made on Sundays..... Sandie (living nearby) graciously volunteered to come back Sunday and get some for us, and they were so worth it. Sfogliatella means "small thin leaf/layers" and they are hundreds of paper thin layers of pastry - "like the pages of a book" - in the shape of a shell. Beautiful to look at, delectable to eat. But, all that aside, there were plenty more offerings to go with our coffee as well as salads and sandwiches for lunch (one of which I took home for supper). Max is the very hard-working chef and owner, and it's a real pleasure to be there. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
