It's Monday! What are you reading?

By Claire Louisa on Sep 9, 2024

First seen over on Book'd Out I'm going to try to do this post regularly linking to It's Monday! What are you reading? at BookDate.

This last fortnight I finished:

Complete Me (Love in the Pacific Northwest #6) by Beck Grey which was a great finish to this 6 book MM romance series

Romeo Falling by Jesse H Reign another really great MM romance read

The memoir Because I'm Not Myself, You See: A Memoir of Motherhood, Madness and Coming Back From the Brink by Ariane Beeston. This was a really good insight into what someone suffering from perinatal psychosis goes through and the toll it takes on them and their family.

The Blame Game (Relationship Goals #5) by Brigham Vaughn was a great ending to this MM romance series.

Be Still, My Heart by Holly Day is a short novella that I enjoyed.

The Seduction of James Grey (Moonlight Falls #1) by Colette Rivera is the first in a trilogy following the same couple, a good start to the series and I'm now onto book #2, my review

Crossing Lines ( Desert Ice Hockey #2) by Christie Gordon which I enjoyed but not as much as book #1, I didn't feel the connection between the two men the way I did in the previous book but I'm looking forward to book #3.

The Last Witch in Edinburgh by Marielle Thompson was the only audiobook I finished this fortnight and I really enjoyed it, the narration was really good.

I'm currently reading ARCs of:

Colours in Her Hands by Alice Zorn - A witty, layered and compelling novel about a woman with Down Syndrome, exploring textile art, sibling relationships, friendships, and good intentions gone awry.

The Cursed Sebastian Storm (Moonlight Falls #2) by Colette Rivera which follows on immediately from book #1

The Sky Beneath Us by Fiona Valpy - An inspiring, uplifting story of love and loss, courage and adventure - set in Nepal one of my favourite countries. I'm listening to this ARC on Audiobook.

The Fating by Dianna Roman - A satirical, sci-fi, MM erotica romance - this is my first read by this author and it's not what I was expecting but I'm enjoying it.

And finally Year of the Rabbit (Shifters of the Chinese Zodiac #1) by Anni Lee - this is an audiobook ARC.

Next up, after I finish these ARCs I have a couple more ARCs I hope to get through by next fortnight's check-in.

Beautiful Savage Butterfly (Mafia Bound #2) by K.M. Neuhold

Fractured Frets (The Flintlocks #4) by Tania Joyce

Oliver by Felicity Snow

Forbidden Puckboy (Puckboys #7) by Eden Finley & Saxon James

So as per usual, I have plenty to keep me busy. On top of this, I have a practical assessment on the 14th for my Cert 4 and some written assessments to complete, and then I get a two-week break before the Diploma starts on the 5th of October.

Until next time, happy reading.
