This is a new store that has opened near us. There is no signage outside, and this is what it looks like inside. What kind of shop do you think it is?
This is a large clean space with very few clothes on the racks. There were perhaps ten people in the vast store. Scattered around the minimalistic space were several sculptures, and there was one section with beautifully curated second hand clothes from different brands.
The store is H&M. Not Arket, & other Stories, COS or H&M home. H&M. It's a very interesting concept and this store moves away from the jam-packed, jumble sale chaos that H&M usually is.
As I walked home I saw this beautiful autumn display in a local bakery. I loved the truffles in the shape of chestnuts
Sweden is very into small pastries like this. Truffles you can pop into your mouth, cinnamon buns, small cookies. They are often small but very rich and sweet. I grew up on large slices of solid, moist chocolate cake, carrot cake, and lemon meringue pies. I love cake.
So this café a little way down the road is right up my alley. They have a different selection every day and they often sell out quite early in the day as everything is freshly baked in-store.
These are chocolate nut brownies with walnuts and white chocolate.
These are banana chocolate cakes, and are served with whipped cream.
And my personal favourite.Freshly baked carrot cake with lime frosting. Their cake is beyond delicious.
My husband likes biscuits (UK),cookies(US). So he really likes these raspberry jam biscuits, They also sell chocolate croissants and cinnamon and cardemum buns
We had a lovely peaceful Friday evening and that to us is the best Friday ever. Our cats were very happy about that.
