There may only be five days of August left, but there is a distinct possibility that I might actually finish the SpringBoard project. Last seen, I had just started on the boro style stitching for the back cover. That is now completed and ready to make up into the back cover page. I particularly like this photo as the low light has really emphasised the texture in the stitching. The completed contents page has been stitched to the inside cover, although I forgot to take a photo of it with the running stitch whipped in a purply-brown to make it stand out more strongly and echo the brown tones in the tie dye fabric. I also used rows of running stitch to attach the stacked running stitch cover image and was romping away nicely when it occurred to me that I really needed to put my name on the book somewhere. Being so close to putting the covers together, I really wasn't keen on more stitching and specifically more Quaker Stitch, but Debbie agreed that I needed to have my name on it somewhere and she's right. It's an artwork and a book and both of those should carry the name of their author/creator. At least there are only eight letters in both of my names. I haven't finished, but am at least about half way through this little side mission. So very nearly there! | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
