Since it's almost officially summer, a throwback to when I launched a summer picnic supper club and made emergency s'mores party favors for my friends!
I had so many Target first aid kit bags in my stash. (They come free with purchase of three health items and I'm always buying bandages and disposable gloves so I've collected a few bags over the years.) They're great for filing or travel projects, and of course wrapping gifts. I had been keeping a few in hopes to use them as favor bags, and I finally did it with these s'mores kits!
I got everything I needed to manifest my vision for a s'mores kit at Trader Joe's: Graham crackers (regular and cinnamon!), marshmallows (plain and dark chocolate covered), and chocolate (milk, dark, and caramel-filled).
For assembly I decided to use snack-sized reclosable plastic bags. I was debating to use my heat press sealer for a more polished seal, but the bags worked out perfectly and could keep the ingredients fresh if you didn't use them all in one sitting. Plus, four of each cracker fit like a glove! It was kismet.
I drew kit maps and included a link to s'mores making techniques (thanks Food52!) - because apparently there is more than one way to s'mores.
I wish I created reaction videos of supper club guests. It was too cute when they found out these weren't regular emergency kits.
Happy almost summer of s'moresings and picnics and friends and togetherness!
