I'd used the tubes for years (they are in my portable painter because they are vibrant, dry down hard (don't ooze all over the place), and rewet well. I purchased the QoR mini sets of pans because I was curious how they compared. I really liked them and wondered how they would fare against the QoR tube paint I had dried down in pans. Watch the video to see them in action! This video was done as a YouTube livestream. I took questions from the audience several times but it's easy to skip ahead during the Q&A portion. At the end of the video I have a painting demo with the paints/ I hope you find it informative (or a sleep aid if watching at bedtime, I just want to be useful LOL!) TLDR: The pans are vibrant without activation. Just touch them with a wet brush and you are good to go. The dried-down tubes need prewetting to get a similar response (just spray them with water a couple of minutes before painting) but I think they are equivalent in quality. This is good news because QoR doesn't offer refill pans so if you use up a pan color you will need to refill it with a tube. Supplies (Affiliate links used) - QoR tubes are the most affordable in tube sets. Blick and Amazon have good prices on the sets but Blick has a better price on individual tubes.

I hope you found this useful! I put all of my QoR pans in one of the small tins after removing the silicone insert. You can fit 24 pans in if you like. I am much more likely to use them that way. Happy crafting! | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
