New craft club alert! Remember when Blue Door Beads owner Sarah invited me to 'shop' for donations and I won the bead lottery? Welps, with the inherited bounty I helped design a bead-centered craft club with Sticky Art Lab: Club Bejeweled!
I'm super excited about this project because beading is one of the crafts I love to do but don't do much of. Sometimes my Mom gives me broken jewelry to repurpose and I'll work on that, or I'll get inspired by a bead haul. Having a dedicated time and space for creating with beads is going to be so fun!
We had our inaugural Club Bejeweled event earlier this month. It's drop in 'open lab' style with beading focus. Folks can learn a new beading craft or bring a project they want to bead-dazzle. To inspire making, the plan is to demo a technique or skill, and then leave the rest of the evening for open making with access to a curated bead bar!
For this first club meet up I demoed wish bracelets featuring hemp cord and seed beads. We all made a bracelet together then folks spent the rest of the evening experimenting with the new technique in an all you can bead experience. Guests made bracelets for friends, got creative with the bead bar options, and had an overall chill creative evening.
We also inherited a ton of Blue Door Beads jewelry boxes so folks got to take home their creations in a nice box for keeping or gifting.
Want to learn how to make your own wish bracelet? Find my step by step tutorial, then mix it up! 🙂 Plus, follow along on my events page for the next Club Bejeweled meet ups or send me a note to get on the distribution list.
