This is actually from a few years ago, I just forgot to post it haha. They were doing a western-themed shoot and asked us to make saddle bags.
I had to make them in a hurry since I only had a few days notice, so it was a matter of designing something that could be accomplished in the short timeline, that had graphic elements that could be seen from far away and up close (I didn't know how the bag would be shot or how close up), and that didn't require any edge painting (since edge painting would take too long and delay the production of the bag).
I ended up doing cross stitches on all the seams, in a contrast color, so that it would be very graphic and visible even from afar. I made this in such a hurry that I didn't even take my own photos of it hahaha
The funny thing is that the leather we use (vegetable-tanned leather) is originally used for saddles and stuff, so me using it to make modern saddle bags, well that's kind of a nice little full circle moment, now isn't it?
