Monday Moisture Conditioner
I bought this because I really like the shampoo, and I love it. It is normally very difficult to comb conditioner through my hair after shampooing, despite brushing my hair beforehand and using a wide-toothed Denman comb for the conditioner. This one is really easy to comb through and my hair dries without a single hint of frizz.
The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin Body Wash
This is something I would not have looked at on a shelf in a shop. I like pumpkin pie but pumpkin spice latte or candles are not for me. I was given this as a gift, and I am so glad about that, because I love it! It has such a comforting, cozy fragrance. I will definitely be buying it again while it is still available.
The Body Shop Hemp Rescuing Face Protector
I was recommended this by a former student who knew my skin had been suffering. She came over for dinner and I was just recovering from a cold, and the weather had been awful. I had windburn on my cheeks, and my nose was chapped and sore from blowing it.
I really really like it. It is not greasy but it moisturises so well. The cream turns from green to white to clear. It's a great base for makeup. I will definitely buy this again.
Sephora Coconut Facial Wipes
My favourite facial wipes of all time were the original Sephora Coconut Wipes. I used to buy them in bulk. As companies do, they changed the formula and the new version was so harsh it made my face burn. My skin is not normally sensitive but these ravaged my face. I stopped using them but recently I needed new wipes and could not find any Garnier Micellar ones. Sephora had changed their formula again so I decided to try the new version. They are not too bad, actually. Not nearly as good as before, and not as good as the Garnier ones, but they don't burn. And a big plus always for wipes that have a plastic clip closure because it keeps the wipes fresh and moist.
Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara
I have used expensive mascaras over the years - YSL, Lancôme, MAC, Estee Lauder, Clarins - but normally I go for more budget varieties such as L'Oréal, Maybelline, Lumene, or Isadora, because I think they are just as good. Mascara only lasts a few months anyway. If I do buy pricier ones, I always get either the Christmas sets during the Christmas sales, or duty-free airport travel exclusives. You then get the mascara plus something else like eyeliner, eye makeup remover, eye cream.
I got this set for half-price at Christmas. It was a full size Hypnôse mascara with three smaller mascaras (Hypnôse Drama mini mascara, Hypnôse Doll Eyes mini mascara and Hypnôse Volume-à-Porter. I paid $16 for the set. I can try out the different smaller ones, and use them in my makeup bag.
