World Book Night United Artists
19th April – 2nd July 2024
This year WBN United Artists invited participants to respond to a text or book about birds, then make a postcard to send for an exhibition and mail art swap.
They received 250+ postcards from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and the USA.
All artworks are being shared publicly over the next few months with exhibitions in Bristol and Hong Kong, and featured on Linda Parr's Instagram page: instagram.com/lsp_books/
The first exhibition is mid-April – June at University of West England in the library's gallery area. Students from HKDI are displaying postcards alongside the main show. Find out more about this year's exhibition here.
