Teaching small groups of readers as a mandated extra part of my daily job is fun and I love the students, but I'm worn out! Honestly, I wasn't going to "slice" today. I went to bed already, but as I rolled around, I thought about my commitment to writing, and I dragged myself back out of bed. I'm glad I did! That's what we ask our students to do every day -- get up and get to it! Learning is fun, but it's a chore sometimes, too. We are lucky to have "our people" to support and guide us. I'd like to thank Stacy Shubitz today for hosting the first 7 days of this month's Slice of Life Challenge! We are inspired by you and we love you! Now...back to bed. I'll be better tomorrow.
