My first group has 15 students, the middle group has 18 students, and the end-of-day group has 12 students. They are all good students who are pretty good independent readers already, so I reminded them of who "we" are: We are Readers. Now, let's show the state what we already know. This reminded me of who I am, too. I am a reading teacher. An educator. An advocate for authentic reading and writing.
