Slice of Life March Challenge: Day 2

Jennifer Sniadecki

March 2

Happy Saturday! I can tell already that March is going to fly by! For those of you who don't know me yet, professionally I'm a middle school librarian and media literacy facilitator for my district. I love my job! (Reading and promoting books, and writing without grades? Yes!) When I'm not working, I'm probably doing laundry, reading, or streaming something on TV with my husband. I have three grown children and a granddaughter who keep me hopping. We also have a 4-year-old boxer (almost a year now!) and he's quite the attention-seeker! This year, my "One Little Word" is CHANGE. You'll see me blog about these changes here.

  1. New school life: Our middle school will morph into a K-8 building this coming fall. Why? I don't really know, but it's happening and we are learning more each week as the architects and administration meet with us about the plan.
  2. New home: My husband and I just happened to find our retirement home earlier than expected (we are not retiring soon). It's a villa in a nice neighborhood and I won't have to mow grass or shovel snow and I'm thrilled that I won't have to worry about my knee giving out while doing such activities.
  3. My reading life: I participate on Mondays in #IMWAYR (It's Monday! What are you reading?) and some other #kidlit and #mglit groups where my friends keep me reading new and upcoming books. Reading is my passion! I LOVE supporting my author friends and discovering new titles. Each week changes with my moods, my health, and my interests - there are SO MANY good books out there. I want to read them all!

I hope you're having a great weekend! Keep up the writing! I'll be here to read!
