Drawn from submissions for final assessment of Year 12 art students these works show a spotlight on the creative skills and energy of teenagers. The displays allow students to exhibit a portfolio of works rather than a single piece. There is sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, film, annimation and many other formats.. There is a bench in an enclosed space where a set of video submissions roll through with remarkable inventiveness. Students address social issues and society and nature with fun and seriousness but always embody a fresh newness to their take on their craft. I try never to miss this exhibition and have been thankful to the state galleries for giving these talented students wall space to exhibit their wonderful work. The included image taken by author in the gallery. The work is colourful large and exquisitely worked over four panels. It lights up the room.
