I made a rule for myself at the sales this year. Only things that were on my list and only at a discount of 60% and over. I received a department store gift voucher and some money from my husband for Christmas which I used for these.
In the end I bought:
- a black round-necked sweater at H&M
- Hair treatment masks from good brands (Sebastian, Moroccanoil, Briogeo, Aveda and Alterna)
- Skin cleansers (Elizabeth Arden, Jurlique, Beauté Pacific)
- Elizabeth Arden skin capsules (30)
- gold-plated sterling silver bubble bracelet
and the pièce de résistance, 2023's Estée Lauder Blockbuster kit. The value of the set was $560 and I paid $50. The full size Estée Lauder Advanced Night repair alone costs over $90. This kit had seven full sized products and the others were generously sized as well. The beauty case they came in was lovely this year - sumptious red velvet with an external pocket and pretty charm.
I love Estée Lauder but I usually cannot afford it. The Advanced Night Repair cleanser is really nice and so is the eye makeup remover and eye cream. I always lust after these blockbusters but, despite the great value, they are always too pricey for me.
