| thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Dec 1 | Hi friends! I had an absolute blast painting this snowy scene but I kinda panicked when I added the snow. Do you like it? If you want to paint along in real-time you can find the 2-hour-long tutorial in Critique Club. You also get access to every other lesson I have posted in Critique Club for the past 5 years! All for just $5 a month, click the link above to learn more or join today! Supplies (affiliate links used) - 7"x10" cold press watercolor paper block from Meeden
- Granulating watercolor sample dots from Masha's Watercolor
- Gouache: Any brand is fine but I used: Daniel smith - Pyrrole Red, Hansa Yellow Medium, and Titanium White from the mixing set (15ml tubes), DaVinci - Phalo Blue and Yellow Deep (Best value, huge 37ml tubes and they are having a sale), and Holbein - I used black and white from the mixing set but you can just as easily mix black and use the white from another set. I think the above brands are all good so go with what fits your budget. They work well together too so you can always try a tube from each and see what you prefer.
- I used a variety of brushes here, some are no longer available (My brushes are sold out) but I recommend this set by Artegria as an affordable watercolor set and Zen all media brushes from gouache.
- T square
- Spatter tool
- Pencil (yes, it's bougie LOL)
- Paper towel
- 2 Water buckets
- Reference photo
I hope you have an awesome day and I'll see you tomorrow for Sat Chat. Happy crafting! | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
