The Germania Orchestra of Boston ami Hie Norwood Brass Band furnished 1 most excellent music throughout the evening
The decorations of the rooms in the new building by Col. Wm Beals of Boston, through his foreman, Mr. C. M. Gates, assisted by J. Grindle and the dedication committee, F. W. Talbot, chairman, are worthy of special notice and hearty commendation. Without seeing one could hardly believe from any ordinary description that a plain workroom could be metamorphised by decorative art into such a fairy-like and beautiful scene. This by daylight, and viewed in the evening under the flash of four hundred gas jets, the effect was greatly enhanced as a scene of weird enchantment.
The decorations were in the national colors, mingled with evergreen and potted plants. At the north end was stationed the orchestra, above which as a centre was a large golden eagle, flanked on either side with the stars and stripes in graceful folds. Over the head of the stand, in large gilt letters upon a dark surface, were the words: "Grand Dedication of the Norwood Press Works, 1894 A Hearty Greeting to you all."
