This was the side window of our car-share yesterday
The snow was not deep today but the streets were very icy. Here a small plough is cleaning the road from the front and dropping gravel from the back. During a normal winter there is about 40 000 tons of gravel on Stockholms 3600 roads. During a cold winter it can be more than double that.
I quickly learned the value of sturdy, non-slip, waterproof winter boots. The Kavats below are good for ice and cold but are not hot indoors. I also have a heavier leather pair for extreme cold. They are both slip-proof and have several layers of insulation lining. Those are too warm to wear if I am going to be both indoors and outdoors and unable to change shoes.
The Haymarket Hotel in Stockholm had these marshmallow Santa creations in their windows. I love marshmallow santas so they really caught my eye.
I used my trusty Van Der Spek Janet Leather tote and organiser. I still use paper lists and keep receipts in my planner until I am sure I will not be returning the item.
I looked at this display of alarm clocks and wondered if the campaign worked to sell more clocks? I would have thought fewer people used them. I have always used a bedside clock to see the time in the night, although I use my phone as my alarm
The sign says that research has proved that mobiles disturb sleep and encourages you to use an alarm clock.
This was a nail polish display in H&M. It was rather pretty, though I would have organised it more strictly according to colour and straightened up some of the bottles.
