Wright, Allen. "Brown Study." Scotsman, 17 October 1981, p. 6.
Review of a program broadcast simultaneously on radio and television by the BBC. "This 'evocation' is being broadcast as a tribute to the Orcadian poet, George Mackay Brown, on his 60th birthday. Called The Poet in his Place, it blends his work with the observations of 20 of his fellow-islanders to form a picture of Orkney which no camera could capture. The lines of poetry, read by George Mackay Brown and Inga Adams, merge into the other islanders' descriptive comments and their vivid recollections of the harder times they lived through in their youth."
