The organization of a football eleven to represent the Norwood high school tills year was due mainly to the energy of manager Stephen I. Hunt. Capt William A. Billings, Cornelius Callahan and a few other former players. Barked by John Curtin, for six years the gilt-edge quarterback of the Norwood football team, the boys, several of whom never played before, gradually developed a representative team, which In another season should be of a high standard.
The team defeated Natick High, 6 to 5 and defeated Stoughton High, 34 to 0. It was defeated twice by Wayland high 10 to 0 and 22 to 0, and once by Hyde Park high. 21 to 0. Dedham high forfeited a game to Norwood high, 6 to 0.
