District No. 6 Includes So. Norwood; 2d Largest With 20 Representatives
The area contained within the heavy lines in the above map is District No 6 under Norwood's new program of representative town meeting government. The district includes South Norwood and the boundaries are the two railroad right of ways. A rally to promote interest in Town Meeting candidacies in this district will be held on Thursday evening of next week at the Balch School.
District No. 6 under Norwood's new program of Representative Town Meeting Government, is all of South Norwood, the boundaries being the "V" formed by the railroad tracks.
The District, which this week displayed considerable activity in the campaign to Interest citizens in running for Town Meeting Member at the January election, is the second largest of the town's eight districts. It has 1321 registered voters who will be represented at Town Meeting by 20 elected Town Meeting Members. Only District 5 (the Ward 5 section) is larger with 21 Town Meeting Members.
