Prior to the pandemic 1 in 10 women who are part of the LGBTQ+ are unemployed due to refusal of work.

It is a struggle for 2.2 billion people as they don't have access to clean water as well as 2.3 billion not having access to basic sanitation services, such as toilets or latrines. In addition to this, each day over 800 children are dying due to dirty water. Today 258 million children – 1 out of every 5 – will not be allowed to school.

Due to the climate getting worse, 821 million people around the world face chronic food deprivation. The World Food Program estimates that giving women farmers more resources could reduce the number of hungry people in the world by 100-150 million. In 2017, more than 20 million individuals were on the brink of starvation and in need of humanitarian assistance in East Africa.
