Thanksgiving eve will find patrons of Roll Land on Route 1 celebrating the first anniversary of Norwood's modern skating rink in grand style. The party will start at 7:30 to continue to 11, and from 11 to 3 a. m
A 35-pound Vega baked birthday cake will be cut in honor of the occasion and a grand march and plenty of festivity is promised for the most gala of Roll Land's gala parties.
It is expected that regular Roll Land patrons who come from all of 75 towns and cities within the Greater Boston area will be on hand to celebrate the anniversary, while crowds are expected to pour in for the celebration.
In business 1 year, the skating rink has become one of the town's most successful businesses and has drawn patronage from miles around by virtue of its up-to-date and convenient facilities.

Did you know that Freddie Dobras bought 'nn airplane? If anyone wants a ride with plenty of thrills and heart failures, just get in line, for Freddie won't refuse anybody. That is anybody under 100 lbs. net. for the crate looks kinda tired.

You all don't know Yanta—well, she came for a visit last Monday nite and was much impressed by the fancy skater, and she promised to come again and often. Really she is a charming young lady and you must meet her sometime.
Did anyone notice the Santoro's cousins Sunday nite? They were kind of timid about going on the floor with all the crowd, tho you can't blame the girls, for it was the first time in a rink for most of them* With a/ew private sessions by themselves, it won't be long before they blossom out like professionals.
Quite a time was had by the Silver Streak club from Waltham last nite, swell bunch of kids they seem to be, too.
Don't forget the big party tonite, fun and laffs galore are in store. And a few surprises too.
