A friend of mine messaged me some words that I needed to hear in this time of great grief,
"[These past six months since we've met]... I think you probably had a valuable and wonderful experience. In it, happiness, sadness, gratitude, and hardship will coexist. And we grew up... let us find gratitude even in these difficult times."
I find it beautiful to be reminded that happiness, sadness, gratitude and hardship all co-exist in every experience.
My heart is aching with the burden that I carry and the great loss that has happened this month, but even then, there are still hundreds of things that happened that brought joy and made my heart full.
November is gonna be a much harder month. Unlike the past few months, I am gonna have to deal with it alone and on top of that, with a heart dealing with grief and loss.
But I have seen this pattern before. During the time last May of this year, when I am completely running out of reasons why I should keep going, God provided and poured so much. I will continue to trust and believe that things will get better, as long as I continue to show up and acknowledge Him.
