The next meeting of the Drum Corps Association will be held Tuesday evening, October 6th, in the School Hall. The girls of both Corps are asked to make returns of their membership cards to their respective group leaders before Monday, October 7lh, thus enabling each leader to make a report at the meeting on Tuesday night.

Each girl is expected to enroll at least twenty-five adults In order for the drive to be success, if you have not done this, please enroll your twenty-five before Monday The number enrolled by each girl will be read at the meeting by her group leader.

Parents are also reminded to obtain their "Parents Membership" cards before next Tuesday evening.

Patricia and Frances McQuaid have enrolled sixty adults. The McQuaid girls are both talented buglers and are very active in the Senior Corps. Patricia instructs the Junior Corps in bugle playing along with George Day, bugle instructor.

Ralph Fenton is stalling a recruiting campaign for the Junior Corps, better known as the "Princess Corps." Girls recruited will be taught the principles of marching and will take part in parades with the Senior Corps next summer More definite information about this campaign later.

The Senior Corps will meet and practice in the Armory this Friday night. Every girl is expected to be present ns these Armory Sessions are very important in regard to CYO competition next year.

Drum Majorette Ann Donahue, Frances McQuaid, and Sylvia Rodel arc the three girls to represent St. Catherine's Corps at the Concert given by I he United States Marine Band at Symphony Hall, Sunday, October 6th.

Archbishop Richard J. Cushing announced at the Music Festival that each Drum Majorette or Drum Major and two other members (chosen at random) of each CYO musical unit participating would be his guests at the Concert.

One hundred and sixty-five CYO girls and boys make up this very fortunate group.

John E. Folan, candidate for the unexpired term of Selectman John M. Mutch in the coming special election, enters the field of candidates not only with previous experience on the selectmen's board but with the added advantage of having gained that experience in the early days of Norwood's present charter. He sat with almost the first board to serve under the town manager form of government. John Gillooly was one of the first five on the board under the new charter set-up, but after serving a year refused to run again, and Mr. Folan was elected to the Board
