It seemed too good to be true, so I did some research into it, and found these two images, both created in Photoshop by Ashley Bickerton. What was really interesting is that he created them in order to go viral. Read the complete (very interesting) interview here. The part that stayed with me was that Bickerton was originally credited on the photograph, but - as usually happens - that credit fell away and in the end people didn't even bother to check who the creator was. Chicama does exist and is protected by law. But it does not look like the image above and is not the only wave that is legally protected.
