Morse Street was closed between Pleasant Street and Short Street after the Morse Street Bridge sustained damage after being struck by a cement truck.
The low-height bridge has been the scene of multiple truck collisions over time.
The cement truck was traveling from Washington Street towards Pleasant Street.
Norwood Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the crash just after 1 p.m. and found significant damage to both the bridge and the cement truck.
The driver of the cement truck, operated by Tresca Brothers, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Norwood Police Chief William Brooks said the driver would be cited in the crash.
Photos shared on social media by the Norwood Police Department showed the railroad tracks on the top of the bridge had been shifted as a result of the crash.

The freight rail tracks connect to Certainteed, located on Pleasant Street near the East Walpole line.
The Norwood Space Center and Planet Storage, both located on Morse Street, can only be accessed from Short Street or Washington Street in South Norwood for the foreseeable future.
