Roundup of Norwood High Class of 1961

David Rodman began working at Norwood Motor Parts right after graduation and has been busy this summer on deliveries and in the stock room. He is accepted at American International College, Springfield, where he will begin a pre-med course in the fall. While at college, David will five with his uncle and family at Springfield and will be taking a vacation wtih his family in Maine or New, Hampshire late in August before traveling with them to Springfield.

For the summer, Tom Kady is working as a carpenter for Ray Allison. He visited Falmouth for a week with classmates after graduation and has been spending weekends with his family at their Seabrook, N. H., cottage. Tom is accepted at Northeastern University School of Business Administration beginning this fail.

Mary Lou Folan was hostess to some half-dozen classmates at her family's cottage at New Silver Beach after graduation. She has been cashiering at Cummings in Norwood for the past year and is working there full time for the summer. Mary Lou was awarded a scholarship to Pierce Secretarial School in June and plans to vacation at New Silver Beach before the fall.

Before beginning classes at the University of Massachusetts this fall, Janet Rosata will vacation at the Folan cottage at New Silver Beach. She visited there with classmates after graduation and has been working at the Registry of Motor Vehicles on a summer appointment until recently. Janet will major in mathematics at college.

Peter Reeves has been working as a junior councilor at Groton Woods, Conn., since graduation. The Massachusetts Baptist Conference grounds is located at the site of the camp for boys and girls. He plans to enroll in a postgraduate course at Norwood Senior High School Iieginnlng this fall but is undecided between arts and science for a college major in 1962.

Robert Salie began working at Girltown on Dean Street before graduation and was limited to a weekend at Falmouth with classmates in June. He has been playing 'twilight baseball in Norwood this summer and plans to vacation in New York City for a few days before entering John Hopkins University for a pre-med course in the Fall. Robert will live on campus while at the Maryland University.
After graduation, Shelia Ruscitti began working full-time at the credit department of Scars in Norwood. She vacationed with her family for a few days at Northampton during the early part of the summer. Shelia Is undecided about the fall, but plans to remain working at Sears for a year. She is considering an enrollment in evening school this September.

Lee Simoni has been working at Pancake Cottage, Rte. 1-A, near the Shoppers Center at Natick, since graduation. She plans to take a vacation during the last two weeks of August and will be taking day trips from Norwood. Lee is interested in studying bookkeeping next year and is considering entering the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance this fall.

Before graduation, Georgia Skope began working at the A & P warehouse in Westwood and has been working there full-time this summer. After graduation she visit-cd friends at Princeton, N. J., for a few days and has been spending weekends this summer bowling, swimming and at White Horse Beach with her family. Georgia's plans for the fall are unsettled.

Donald Smith visited Falmouth for a week with classmates after graduation and has been a station attendant at Al's Auto on Pleasant, street this summer. He has been spending much of his time this summer at the George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park. Donald is enrolled at Brewster Preparatory School beginning this fall and plans to enter Boston University in 1962. He plans to become an English teacher.
