What Big Projects Are You Working On This Summer?

For my family, it's getting our house ready for sale so we can make a cross-country move that's been a long-time coming. A lot's been done, and a lot more still needs to be done. Chief among them packing and downsizing. We've already donated a lot and thrown out a lot more, but who knows what else we might uncover?

What do you have going on? Is it something just as involved, or (hopefully) something more fun? If it's something that's going to take weeks and months, remember to give yourself a break from time to time. Reward yourself when you achieve a milestone, but don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day. That'll only bring about more bad days!

For me, it's either anime or video games as my go-to stress reliever. I haven't had much time for either, but I have made an exception for Xenonauts 2. It's the sequel to a game that came out several years ago that was/is the spiritual successor to the original X-COM from the 1990s. If you like turn-based squad combat with some organizational management/strategy on the global screen, you can't go wrong!

And speaking of alien invasion stories...

Dragoon: First Strike is ready to beat back the alien horde!

If you're a fan of X-COM (old or new), Independence Day, or any other story out there that pits a ragtag team of soldiers and civilians against an alien menace, you owe it to yourself to give Dragoon a try! We know you'll love it!

It finally happened… and the aliens were out for conquest.

Amid a worldwide invasion, a secluded part of the world holds its own against the unwelcome intruders.

Flight Lieutenant Nathan Harvey, a helicopter pilot from the Royal New Zealand Air Force is recruited into the CAVDEV, an experimental powered armor unit.
He quickly finds himself leading the fight on the front lines against an overwhelming alien force.

Can Harvey and his clandestine unit of powered armor drive back the invading forces and secure a foothold for the human race?
