Less than a month ago England crowned King Charles III, and a few Sketchers got together to mark the occasion. Joanne had a Coronation Tea at 7 a.m. to watch the festivities. We came in pajamas and hat, tiara or fascinator. We drank Earl Grey tea from her beautiful china and enjoyed scones, Eccles cakes (flown in from England!) and tea sandwiches. I brought Jam Pennies, the Queen's favorite tiny sandwich that I was told she ate every day. It was lovely, and when we weren't eating, we sketched. Thank you, Joanne, for the memory of a lifetime.
