Sitting idly on the train today, I noticed that everyone - including me - was dressed almost identically. Black jacket, trousers, bag and ankle boots. Then a man got on and he was wearing the same!

Swedes do tend to dress very minimally and in neutral colours, particularly when it is cold. I Brighter colours and dresses/skirts appear from late spring to early autumn, though footwear always tends to be practical on public transport during the day, even in summer.
