I started this blog to mark my 60th birthday, hence the name "61st Orbit". Well, tempus fugit, and I'm now 63 and the 64th orbit of the sun is underway.
Where are we?
Covid and its consequences have lingered rather longer than anyone imagined. My long-planned travel plans of 2020, which Covid destroyed, have not resumed. In part, that is due to working on my degree.
My degree course was planned to start in the autumn of 2020 after the travel plans of 2020. Well, the course started, and the travel never happened. The earliest I am likely to complete my trip to NZ is 2024.
As for the course, in the summer of 2022 I completed my Foundation degree in Arts (FdA) with a distinction in Digital Imaging and Photography. I am now working on my final projects for a Bachelor of Arts (BA).
I will write more about what my final projects are once they have been completed. The two main ones are a documentary project and an alternative photographic process project.
My portfolio project was all about landscape photography and I will put up a post about that shortly as that has been marked and assessed.
