and so the days stitch on
page one (on the left) is finished and page two just started
the background fabric for page 2 is a sample from a workshop several years ago
I'm trying hard to use the scraps as they come and not neaten then up - will see how long that lasts
a center square of the spun and dyed "nasty" wool is taking shape
another row around the outside is almost woven ready to stitch
I've almost run out of the original wool and have resorted to digging through the stash
as they are all natural dyes most of the colours are good together
and I could top dye some if necessary
the weight of some yarns is not heavy enough so I'm weaving with two yarns together
the very fine yarn is a 2 ply novelty boucle I enjoy spinning - it adds some texture
to make the blanket a reasonable size there will need to be one more outside round
finding enough yarn may be a problem - more spinning and dyeing??
stay tuned
