MISS ROLL-LAND—The honor of being chosen Miss Roll-Land for 1955 went to dainty Miss Lillian Carlson of Norwood. Two former winners of the top honor acted as judges for the sale-ethon. They were Nancy Olson, 1954 winner and Linda Flynn who won the title In 1940. A large crowd attended the elimination contest at which Miss Carlson won the title.

On Monday, January 9, 1956, there will be a special skating program at the Roll-Land Skating Rink in Norwood. This program is being sponsored by the Disabled American Veterans and the entire proceeds of the evening will go to the DAV Chapter Ninety, Norwood.

Plans for the evening will include two pairs of shoe skates for door prizes donated by Hyde Athletic Shoe Company, of Boston. There will be a twenty-minute exhibition of championship skating and public skating starting at 7.30 p.m.

Miss Nancy Cass, Roll-Land's Massachusetts State Champion, who won third place in the Nationals at Toledo last summer, will be featured in a delightful freestyle routine.

Ronald Schneider, who holds third place in Massachusetts for his skating in the Junior Free Style Division, will also present a spectacular freestyle solo. Ron- aid and his partner, Sylvia Power, runners up to the Massachusetts Junior pair Champion team, will skate an exciting pairs number.

The newest and perhaps the most interesting form of free skating is called "Tours." This type of art requires four skaters (two boys and two girls) to perform intricate jumps, spins, and foot-work as a team. Roll-Land is especially proud of its Junior Fours Team. Skating together for the first time lost year, they took first place in the Massachusetts State Moot, and went on to win the Coveted Northeastern Regional Championship. This team Is composed of four of the most talented teenagers you'll find anywhere: Miss Dorothy Hogan, Mr. Scott Massey, Miss Sylvia Power and Mr. Ronald Schneider. They will skate their competition routine on the Disabled American Veterans Program.

All skaters to appear on the program arc pupils of Ray Lenty, who himself won the National Championship in 1942. Mr. Lonty and his wife, Lynn, are the professional skating instructors at Roll-Land. Mr. and Mrs. Lcnty will climax the DAV program with an exhibition of Dance Skating.
