The Upright Gallery, an intimate contemporary art gallery situated in Bruntsfield Edinburgh, is currently showing its annual exhibition of artist books. This year the theme is Pattern.
The exhibition opened last Saturday 26 November and runs until 23 December.
Ian Farmer, the gallery owner has co-curated the show with Edinburgh based artist, bookmaker and tutor Susie Wilson. Pattern features over 80 books from 35 artists.
It's varied, vibrant and energetic and I'm very happy to be included.
You can feast your eyes on a banquet of dazzling patterns by requesting a digital catalogue featuring all the books in the exhibition. Go to https://www.uprightgallery.com/
AND you can watch a day by day video which explores individual pieces as an advent calendar on instagram at

Here is a peek through the gallery window into what looks like a wonder-full treasure chest. On the back wall you can see my hanging book titled Earthsongs which features digital patterns from original designs using ochre from the local beaches near where I live in New South Wales, Australia.
