Hello December! I can't believe you're here already. It seems like just yesterday I was taking down my tree and decorations and now I'm putting them back up again. This is going to be a busy December because, during the month, I am planning to participate in blogmas.
What is blogmas?
- Blogmas is a December blog posting challenge to write and publish a blog post every day in December up to Christmas. It's kind of a spin-off of vlogmas - where YouTubers post videos every day in December.
Why am I participating?
- Christmas is my favorite holiday and I look forward to it every year. I love the idea of capturing memories from this time and just writing every day about the holiday season.
- To challenge myself. This will be a big challenge for me as I think the most posts I've ever published in a row have been four. And now I'm going to try to write and publish 25 posts in a row.
- To get back into writing small and winsome posts. As I look back through all the posts I've published on my blog, I realized that I use write short posts about what I was thinking or reading and I haven't done that in a while. I'd love to get back into that rambling mindset.
What you can expect from me this December:
- I don't know that there are many rules for blogmas, other than posting every day. I plan to have some Christmas-related posts, book related posts, posts about what I did that day, and of course, book reviews of my holiday reads. I have a lot of ideas so I'm hoping to post every day. We'll see. I might end up with 25 posts and I might end up with five. It is a huge challenge and undertaking but I am ready.
