1. If you were to categorize or describe the style of your artwork, what would it be and why? I will say minimal and apathic. I like when the movement in the picture is not given by the action but by the idea of movement that the viewer wish itself.
2. Where do you draw your inspiration from? Everyday life,
3. Can you talk a little bit about what your creative thought process is like when starting a new project/ piece of artwork? After I read the brief, I start thinking and looking to situations or objects which nothing has to do with the theme, in this way I do not risk falling in the obvious. For the most, something original and twisty comes there.
4. Is there anything in particular that you would want people to take from your artwork? Calm and reflection.
5. Can you talk a little bit about your lifestyle as an artist and what that is like? I don´t feel like an artist but, anyway, my mind is always driving some ways. Sometimes is very hard to follow after it.
6. When starting out an artistic task, do you think it is better to have a particular direction/set plan guiding your way? Or, is it better to act on impulse and go from there? Absolutely the second one. Always
7. What is one major lesson you've learned as an artist thus far? You are what you want
8. Do you regard personal style & taste to be of highest importance? Yes, I think so. Only if this is pure and not create on the base of what people would like to see
9. What do you consider to be the hardest thing about being an artist? To get a break from thinking, is almost impossible.
10. What is one thing you love about being an artist? The, Don´t have time to be something else
11. Is there anyone in particular, any artist's that inspire you in any way? Not really, no. Maybe in the start of my career, Magritte
12. What do you think of technology in terms of being a useful tool for artists today? Another way to do what a like, and it doesn't dirty.
13. Do you think being an artist allows you to view the world differently from those who don't follow creative paths? I think creativity makes this yes. Turn things upside down catching another perspective of the world. Sometime a better one.
14. Do you enjoy traveling? If so, do you have a favorite city? No, not a good traveller. But I have a preferred city, Firenze
15. Do you have a favorite author or book? The Trial, Kafka
16. Any future goals or plans for your artwork? I´m opening a new Studio Gallery with my girlfriend Giulia Neri, in Denmark. Very happy for this.
17. What does being an artist mean to you? Get the chance to be myself.
