This is a video in which I describe a series of three different ways to Crosshatch your lines.
It works for pencil on paper, but also applies to etching as well.
Standard crosshatching, Tremble, and Comma-shaped crosshatching are shown.
It's a bit slow at first (aren't some of the best things in life?), but then it catches a bit of speed.

If your etching always consider the space between the lines, keeping in mind acid baths length and strength.
The more you want the lines to be black, the more you have to be careful not to burn the etching, leaving no space on the etched surface, thus creating a dull gray area, and not vibrating black lines!
