I used to hate those Dymo label makers that used the hard plastic, where it was tough to get the spacing right and you had to press really hard. My labels always looked somewhat wonky. Strangely, that vintage Dymo 'look' has been appropriated for trendy posters and band logos in recent years. I have had to battle the old Dymo label makers at school and at work and hated the lot of them.
I went out and bought a label maker yesterday because we are going away for a few days and some of the unlabelled containers we have for laundry, foodstuffs and cat food may have been confusing for our cat sitters.
I just bought the cheapest I could find and was surprised to find it was pretty easy to use. Now I need more things to label! It's a Dymo LetraTag (remember Letraset sheets?) labeller so you can choose fonts and borders and different styles.
