Hello there, end of summer. Where did you come from? This summer seems to have flown by and I can't believe it's almost over. Once again, I didn't do much this month. I was still recovering from my bout with COVID and I kind of got out of the rhythm of things and out of my habits. And you know, once you stop a habit it's incredibly difficult to start up again (at least it is for me). Nevertheless, here is my monthly wrap-up of some of the things I was up to in the month of August.

What I'm watching:
I watched The Lost City with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. I thought it was super entertaining and I really liked it. I love Sandra Bullock in romantic comedies and she and Channing Tatum are great physical comedy actors. If you are looking for something fun to watch, I would definitely recommend it. I also started watching A Discovery of Witches on the AMC channel. It's a television series based on the books by Deborah Harkness. I've only watched a few episodes but I think the casting of Matthew Goode and Theresa Palmer is superb and I can't wait to watch the rest of the series.

What I'm loving:
I am loving all the little free libraries. One of the things I did this month was to go on a walk in one of my neighborhoods and stop at all the little free libraries I saw on the way to drop off some books. I thought this was a great way to declutter some of my extra books, as well as leave something new for the next person to come along. One of the little libraries I went to had some good books in it already and I was really tempted to pick something up to take with me but I had to hold back. I have enough books as it is!

What I'm listening:
I started listening to a new to me podcast called It's A Clue. First off, this podcast has the best theme song. It is so catchy and I wish there was a longer version of it. It's A Clue is a podcast hosted by two sisters who are rereading the Nancy Drew mystery books and reviewing and talking all about them. I started listening from the beginning of the podcast and they start with Nancy Drew's first book "The Secret of the Old Clock". I believe the hosts mainly focus on Nancy Drew, but they do talk about a few other teen detective mystery books later on in the shows. The podcast came out in 2021 and they only have one season up right now but I think it is coming back for Season 2 soon.

See you next month!
