Pursuant to Proclamation No. 38, s. 2022, August 30 of this year 2022 is declared the 53rd Mandaue City Charter Day as a special non-working holiday in celebration of its foundation anniversary.
August 30, 2022 is Mandaue City Charter Day, a Special Non-Working Day (Pursuant to Proclamation No. 38, s. 2022)
The holiday which is known as Mandaue City Charter Day, in commemoration of its foundation anniversary was first designated under Proclamation No. 586 on August 30, 1969, as the formal organization of the local government of the city of Mandaue.
It was approved under the Republic Act 5514 on June 21, 1969, when the city of Mandaue was created.

PROCLAMATION NO. 38
DECLARING TUESDAY, 30 AUGUST 2022, A SPECIAL (NONN-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF MANDAUE, PROVINCE OF CEBU
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 5519 which was approved on 21 June 1969 created the City of Mandaue;
WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 586, series of 1969 designated 30 August 1969 as the formal organization of the government of the City of Mandaue;
WHEREAS, on 30 August 2022, Tuesday, the City of Mandaue will mark the celebration of its 53rd Charter Anniversary;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Mandaue be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to the public health measures of the national government;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, VICTOR D. RODRIGUEZ, Executive Secretary, by the authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Tuesday, 30 August 2022, a special (non-working) day in the City of Mandaue.
