when I saw this furniture in one of my favorite secondhand stores I new it was perfect for the bears
but I couldn't justify buying it - so I took a picture and told the owner I'd phone
but I dithered for a week, then went back to have another look, and again didn't buy it
when I showed Rosie the picture she dumped out her piggy bank and I went back and bought it
thanks Rosie
thank goodness it wasn't sold - try explaining that to Rosie!
we gave it a good cleaning before bringing it into the house
then lined the drawers and shelves with old/outdated marine charts - the paper is heavy, they don't make them like that any more
then the fun began
everybody was assigned a personal drawer
with several left over for special holiday stuff, toys and a book shelf
there remains one problem, I live in a very small house and there really isn't a space where it fits
I'm going to the hardware store to see if there are small wheels that would fit on the bottom and make it easier to move
it is old, well built and heavy
Rosie is so happy she donated funds from her piggy bank
and there will be more fun as we fill all the drawers
