Hi friends! Shortly after I recorded my Sat Chat I got a call from my eye doctor that my new "cough" bifocals were ready to pick up. Oh my goodness! I can see! It's like going from an old analog TV to a new digital high-def screen LOL! I see leaves in trees and not just blobs. I'm still getting used to what part of my glasses to look through but it's pretty awesome! Also, I wanted to let you know that since I am turning the bifocal age of 46 this weekend I am offering you 46% off any class in my Teachable school through 7/12/22. Click "add coupon" at checkout and type in HB46 to get your discount.
I have posted several videos this week and I don't always get them posted here to the blog so you can find my frugal Friday (a fun one you can do with the kids) a long watercolor tutorial and a travel palette review here on my video page along with any other tutorials you may have missed. I get a bit lax in the summer and I apologize for that.
Laundry sheet update: I have done a couple of loads with the Binbata zero waste laundry sheets I bought last week and so far, so good. I am using a full sheet per load which would bring the cost to 16 cents a load but that's not bad. They dissolve very quickly in water. They are not sudsy. I'll keep you up to date with how they do but I think I will order more for the kids to take with them to school. I think the real test will be if the laundry stays fresh after multiple washes or if it starts to get smelly. I like the price and how there is no waste (I think the box will actually make nice craft storage!) so hopefully, it keeps working well. I have no idea how they compare to other sheets, they are the only ones I've tried and I picked these because they were 67% off (so amazon says, who knows) and 8 cents per small load. I hope this price stays tho! I did see another brand of laundry sheets (Tru-Earth I think) at the supermarket this week and they were about $14 for 64 small loads I think. I never noticed it before but I might try it. I am so tired of throwing away the big plastic jugs.
One last thing, I am doing World Watercolor Month and I painted this after I got my new glasses last night. I actually drew it and applied my background wash before I left to pick up my classes. Do you see an improvement? I think so (who knows LOL!)
If you want to see all of my work watercolor month paintings please check out my Instagram account and follow if you like it! I will post a sketchbook flip-through at the end of the month here so if you don't like Instagram, no worries:) Happy crafting!
