*I received a free copy of this book with thanks to the author and Rachel Gilbey at Rachel's Random Resources blog tours. The decision to review and my opinions are my own.*
Blurb: Join giraffes, hedgehogs, penguins and many more adorable animals as they welcome their new babies! Share this sweet, rhyming picture book with the special little person in your life and let them know just how much better life is 'Now That You're Here.'
This beautifully illustrated, rhyming picture book makes the perfect gift for new babies and parents.
This could not be a more perfect gift for new parents! Whether the baby is a first and everything is still sentimental and magical, or the latest arrival who needs something special of their own to treasure (or to be read to a dubious older sibling!), this book makes an amazingly sweet keepsake of the day your family increased by one (or more) more!
The text follows a simple rhyming pattern and rhythm, with repetition of the title phrase - "Now That You're Here" - in every verse. This makes it idea to read aloud for soothing young babies or encouraging young toddlers to join in.
The illustrations are beautiful: bold, bright and very, very cute, with lots of different baby animals snuggling up with their parent/s and occasionally siblings.
Minishine (9) found the words and pictures unbearably adorable and instead of our usual review I just got lots of cooing and awwwwing from her! Sadly, my Babybows (6) has just recently outgrown his cute and cuddly phase and therefore showed only minor interest, as he now prefers his books full of bogeys and fart jokes.
I am consoled slightly by the thought that my best friend is soon to greet her latest bundle of joy and I know exactly what to treat her to now!
But the final word has to go to Babybows for this book:
"Did WE ever used to be THAT cute?!?!?!"
Now that you're here,
You're where you belong.
We're so pleased to meet you,
We've waited so long!
