The lemurs pose made me think of the movie Madagascar. One day I'll visit Madagascar.
Safari parks aim to protect biodiversity, with research, and conservation of species. Animals are less stressed than caged animals in zoos. One day, because of mankind, most animal species will be extinct, and man will only be able to see them in safari parks. Think Noah's Ark. Sad but true.
Jacques Cousteau said in 1992. "Future generations would not forgive us for having deliberately spoiled their last opportunity. Let us stop this delayed-action genocide! Let us cease thinking only of ourselves and reasoning only in the short term. This is our responsibility, as we hold in our hands the future of tomorrow's exacting generations."

In just over 100 years, the number of animals that populate the Planet has halved. Since the early 1900s, about 27,600 animal species have become extinct, of which 160 have been declared in the last decade and about 70 species that are extinct in Nature but still present in captivity, thanks to the protective and conservative role of the Parks. According to the 2019 report of the UN panel on biodiversity Ipbes, about one million animal and plant species are at risk of extinction at various levels of severity: the culprit is man, the only species that reproduces at exponential rates.
Un mese fa siamo andati al Safari Park. Avrei voluto camminare tra gli animali anziché osservarli dalla finestra del auto. Se solo vivessi vicino al parco-farei il volontariato. Nella foto qui sopra ce un lemure. Mi chiedo cosa sta pensando? Il lemure appartiene all'ordine dei primati, e possiede 5 dita su ogni zampa (nella maggior parte dei casi) con pollice opponibile. Mi ha fatto pensare al film Madagascar. Un giorno visiterò il Madagascar.
I parchi safari puntano alla tutela della biodiversità, ricerca e conservazione delle specie. Gli animali sono meno stressati rispetto agli animali chiusi in gabbia negli zoo. Un giorno, per mano dell' uomo la maggior parte delle specie animali saranno estinte e l'uomo potrà solo vederli nei parchi safari. Pensate a l'Arca di Noé. Triste, ma vero.

Dall'inizio del 1900 si sono estinte circa 27.600 specie animali, di cui 160 quelle dichiarate nell'ultimo decennio e circa 70 le specie estinte in Natura ma presenti in cattività ad oggi, grazie al ruolo protettivo e conservativo dei Parchi. Secondo il rapporto del 2019 del panel dell'Onu sulla biodiversità Ipbes, circa un milione di specie animali e vegetali rischiano l'estinzione a vari livelli di gravità: colpevole è l'uomo, unica specie che si riproduce invece con ritmi esponenziali.
