IMWAYR is a weekly blog hop with kid lit co-hosts Jennifer from Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee and Ricki from Unleashing Readers. The original IMWAYR, with an adult literature focus, was started by Sheila at Book Journeys and is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. It's a great way to share what you're reading and get recommendations from others. We encourage you to write your own post sharing what you're reading, link up, leave a comment, and support other IMWAYR bloggers by visiting and commenting on at least three of the other linked blogs each week.
I'm back at it today - with an actual day off - and I'm ready to read again. Here's this week's lineup:
Libro.fm: I'll finish Cookies & Milk by Shawn Amos tonight. I'm rooting for this family who plans to bake (exclusively) chocolate chip cookies in their new shop on Sunset Boulevard. I wish I could visit this place for real. Yum! After finding out some family secrets, Ellis, along with his dad, and Grandma "get it together" to make their dreams come true. I love this story and its background. The cast of characters is a wonderful mix of zany and intelligent humans, and the author is the narrator of this audio version. Two Cookies Up (and two thumbs up!)!
Physical Books: I'm re-reading Consider the Octopus by Nora Raleigh Baskin and Gae Polisner for a project. I'm laughing out loud, even more, this time around! I'll start Answers in the Pages by David Levithan next. I'm looking forward to this book about book-banning, recommended by another nerdy book friend.
NetGalley: I know, I know! I'm logging on, I promise! I finished Surely Surely Marisol Rainey by Erin Entrada Kelly. It's just as good as Maybe Maybe Marisol Rainey. I love Marisol and her friends. I didn't love gym class, either.
It's Monday! What are YOU reading?
